Not just pitchers.Pokerwolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06087637119337918275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-39295515854670463732007-03-01T02:13:00.000-08:002007-03-01T02:13:00.000-08:00Just who ARE these people demanding shorter games?...Just who ARE these people demanding shorter games?? Oh, wait ... I know: It's a woman who used to work for me who said baseball games are dull, boring and last too long. She's the one. And Bud Selig. No real fan wants shorter games. I need that precious time between pitches to think about what the next pitch will be, consider who's on deck, etc., etc. The last thing baseball needs is an idiot umpire with a freakin' stopwatch!JimLoomishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01706604258409632604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-86251280147988932822007-02-28T20:37:00.000-08:002007-02-28T20:37:00.000-08:00It is nothing more than a stupid, overused catch p...It is nothing more than a stupid, overused catch phrase.

That's all it is. I'd rather move back to the US than have to listen to that show. I can't remember who it was, maybe somebody on the Rangers?

I'm pretty okay with them speeding the game up where possible, but I do not see this rule change as the best expedient. If they can enforce that "batter's feet in the box" rule, though, I'd be happy with that. Too much leeway and rubbing out the lines going on there.

Much appreciated on that "There's a strike", redsock.

"Theeeere's a-strike."From the Vined Smithyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12383093641957358840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-64768292078194481582007-02-28T13:42:00.000-08:002007-02-28T13:42:00.000-08:00I am lucky enough to hear his radio show as well o...I am lucky enough to hear his radio show as well on espn 1050...He actually tends to be less pro yankee on the radio....Last week he was calling out Jeter saying he was to blame for the whole A-Fraud debacle9caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14214364466933716867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-34320539701567722662007-02-28T13:02:00.000-08:002007-02-28T13:02:00.000-08:00My hatred for Kay exceeds what I feel for Clemens ...My hatred for Kay exceeds what I feel for Clemens and that is one big reason. If the game takes much of Kay's precious time, then I think it's time for him to find another job ... far, far away from my eyes and ears.

It is nothing more than a stupid, overused catch phrase. Of which he has many. Why would someone look at something they like and say "I don't have time for this"? This IS what I have time for--Red Sox games.

And if you've got something you need to get done, and we all do, skip a game now and then--there are 162 of them!Jerehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13448619048422750447noreply@blogger.com
