They had an infield made up Mueller, Cabrera, Bellhorn, Millar and Mentkiewicz. At the time neither of those guys were the best at their postions. The pitching was real good. But loaded with talent I dont really agree.

They were just a great TEAM.9caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14214364466933716867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-24870725609821160482013-09-17T10:06:41.326-07:002013-09-17T10:06:41.326-07:00As I mentioned in another post, the Yankees are 66...As I mentioned in another post, the Yankees are 66-68 against all non-Toronto teams.allanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04673233312198832937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-84970934605608518882013-09-17T07:08:12.249-07:002013-09-17T07:08:12.249-07:00"It's easy, just BELIEVE"

Yes, the ALCS comeback was nothing short of miraculous, but Boston had a club that year loaded with talent.

The 2013 Yankees are currently 79-71 in the standings but the team's Pythagorean win-loss record is 73-77, a difference of six games in their favor (in comparison, the Sox's Pythagorean W-L record is 93-58, one win less than their current record). The talent of the current 2013 Yankees roster is not on the same level as the 2004 Sox.FenFanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07093124081174881768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-37890630875425938252013-09-16T23:05:51.305-07:002013-09-16T23:05:51.305-07:00that's cute.that's cute.Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11371983674011809680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-90616735176588411322013-09-16T21:23:39.747-07:002013-09-16T21:23:39.747-07:00He's not wrong (about the Yankees chances anyw...He's not wrong (about the Yankees chances anyway) and that's an interesting way to look at it. Though I don't think there's a statistic yet invented that shows the 2013 Yankees to be anywhere near as good a team as the 2004 Red Sox. mattymattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08291132296368578632noreply@blogger.com
