Now granted, the scanner may malfunction, but I still feel a whole lot better than I used to with the voting machines in NY.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15720293202890878993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-68138939468211703402011-05-02T14:58:53.951-07:002011-05-02T14:58:53.951-07:00I was surfing the 2000 and 3004 issue and found &q...I was surfing the 2000 and 3004 issue and found "The Onion". No need for that with the new civic election scanner system.

I don't thrust the electronic counter there's too much power in the hands of a small group of programmers or administrators - the more people involved in the counting the better. And, as you referenced above Allan - Princeton University's Center for Information Technology Policy has shown how easy electronic tally systems are to manipulate (posted 4 years ago): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8793715638869146272#Michael Hollowayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11569272458580142677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-31925470576072184562011-05-02T10:45:06.461-07:002011-05-02T10:45:06.461-07:00It's not that cardboard boxes and plastic sand...It's not that cardboard boxes and plastic sandwich bags are impervious to fraud, it's just that a lot less can go wrong with such a simple process... wait I didn't get a plastic sandwich bag!!wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01982186690647778115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-77263443535380710392011-05-02T09:34:23.139-07:002011-05-02T09:34:23.139-07:00...because, um, cardboard boxes and plastic sandwi......because, um, cardboard boxes and plastic sandwich bags are impervious to fraud?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09514553154963775617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5730822.post-62998185916082635592011-05-02T08:31:26.138-07:002011-05-02T08:31:26.138-07:00Cool, eh?Cool, eh?laura khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524593142290489958noreply@blogger.com
