That is a remarkably unemotional summary. I thought AG's homer was one of the highlights of the season, esp. seeing how fired up he was when Ortiz congratulated him after he crossed the plate. I suspected stranding those runners in the 8th was going to haunt them, but I didn't see Aceves serving up that meatball in the 9th either. So disappointing but it's only one game. Thanks again for continuing these write-ups this year.

In games like this our injuries , to me, seem to show up. If you even added just Ross to our lineup it makes it that much longer and you add Ross and Ellsbury.

Think about what are lineup could be.

That aint to bad, after the All - Star break, with the pitching improving and guys coming back they should be pretty good. They just have to hold ground right now. If they could go into the break 5 over .500 I like our chances.
