G80: Blue Jays 5, Red Sox 2

In which the Red Sox offense (wrapping up a 2-4 homestand) undergoes another LOB-otomy:
1st inning, 1st & 3rd, no outs: Manny pops to second and Nixon grounds into a double play.

5th inning, 1st & 2nd, no outs: Mueller flies to center, runner advances to third.

5th inning, 1st & 3rd, 1 out: Bellhorn strikes out looking, Damon grounds to pitcher.

6th inning, bases loaded, no outs: Nixon flies to center (1st pitch), Renteria then thrown out at home, Varitek flies out to left (1st pitch).

9th inning, bases loaded, 1 out: Bellhorn pops to second, Damon pops to second.
This crap is unbelievable. Especially the 6th inning, bases-loaded, no-outs rally that went poof in only two pitches. Two! ... And what's with that ninth inning tease of a rally (after Emblin shit the bed, letting Toronto expand its lead to four runs)? Just lose the game already!

Damon's first-inning single extended his hitting streak to a career-high 19 games. It's the longest Red Sox streak since Todd Walker's 20 games in 2003 (May 10 to June 5).

Boston is now 20-of-21 in stealing bases: Damon 8-of-9, Renteria 8-of-8, Bellhorn 2-of-2, Nixon 1-of-1 and Ramirez 1-of-1.

Roster moves, according to Tito on NESN (by way of SoSH): Ramon Vazquez and Abe Alvarez down to Pawtucket; Lenny DiNardo and Jeremi Gonzales will (I guess) join the team in Texas.
