After being to busy at work to watch any of the games last Fri/Sat/Sun, I'm really looking forward to tonight's game. Feels like it's been an extra-long All-Star break.
Memo to Baseball Gods: I know you don't exist, but please don't force me to watch the O's feed on EI.
1. Julio Lugo, SS 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 6. Mike Lowell, 3B 7. Jason Varitek, C 8. Coco Crisp, CF 9. Wily Mo Pena, RF
1. Brian Roberts, 2B 2. Corey Patterson, CF 3. Nick Markakis, RF 4. Kevin Millar, 1B 5. Miguel Tejada, SS 6. Aubrey Huff, 3B 7. Ramon Hernandez, C 8. Jay Gibbons, DH 9. Jay Payton, LF
Tim--in all seriousness, someone has to get to that ball before the fielder when it's in the crowd. A person who grew up a Sox fan caught it--unfortunately it was Markakis. I was (am) really pissed about that one.
1. tery didn't PH Drew for Hinske. 2. NESN graphic shows Mirabelli as an available PH - as if he's going to be pinched for anything in a game thats within 10.
After two walks right in front of him, Lugo swung at the first pitch both times....get your head out of your ass........no way he should get 5 plate apperances ......
Also: White Sox/Contreras at MFY/B. Bigot.

ReplyDeleteAnd SOMEONE TELL ME THAT WAS DENIS LEARY?! I had the volume off and it looked like him - this better be his annual commentary for one inning game!

Ah, God, it's Millah's revenge!
ReplyDeleteHells yeah I do, Brian Roberts is awesome. I was hoping he'd come over to Bahston a couple years ago.
ReplyDeleteDamn, i thought the guy they were showing in the shadows at the beginning of the inning was Leary (NESN feed)
Remy says Yook's tantrums remind him of Paul O'Neill -- Jere's not gonna like that.
ReplyDeleteFLO!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTiz!
ReplyDeleteRemy says Yook's tantrums remind him of Paul O'Neill
ReplyDeleteI've been saying that all season.
Jere's not gonna like that.
That too.
I actually didn't post my Yook/O'Neill comparison out of deference to Jere. Remy is not as considerate as me.
Schilling so far tonight for PawSox:
ReplyDelete4 innings
50 pitches, 39 strikes
2 hits
0 runs
I think Lugo just got ejected.
ReplyDeleteGuess not. Thought I saw the ump's arm go up as NESN went to commercial.
ReplyDeletebeckett after patterson's single: 14 pitches to last 8 batters
ReplyDeleteThe guy in the shadows was Theo.
ReplyDeleteSo redsock, do you not use that EI schedule to see what network you'll get each night? I discovered it during the season I had EI....
I don't. Maybe it's better if I don't know at 8 AM that I'll be watching on mute that night!
ReplyDeleteChokers doing a number on the CWS:
ReplyDeleteCWS: 030 0
MFY: 405 2
Walkoff Watch:
ReplyDeleteisis is tonight's contestant.
I'm convinced Beckett simply did not get pumped up to play the orioles. Tip of the cap to Bedard's effort though.
ReplyDeleteG38 seems ready:
ReplyDelete7-4-0-0-4

ReplyDeleteOrtiz has 3 hits.
A little help, pls?
Now why didn't a hometown fan rip the ball out of his glove there, in true sportsmanship? :P
ReplyDeleteJust saw the O'Neill thing. Thanks, L. Ha.
ReplyDeleteTim--in all seriousness, someone has to get to that ball before the fielder when it's in the crowd. A person who grew up a Sox fan caught it--unfortunately it was Markakis. I was (am) really pissed about that one.
I could deal with a come from behind in this one!
ReplyDeleteJere, I'm with ya. I dont see why the arms gave way to him, i would've been all over that swatting it away.
ReplyDeletewow, i just had two laughs out loud there...
ReplyDelete1. tery didn't PH Drew for Hinske.
2. NESN graphic shows Mirabelli as an available PH - as if he's going to be pinched for anything in a game thats within 10.

ReplyDeleteCome on, isis!
ReplyDeletePapi could have a shot for the contest...I'd prefer for dusty to do it right here and just save me the blood pressure.
ReplyDeleteNevermind.
After two walks right in front of him, Lugo swung at the first pitch both times....get your head out of your ass........no way he should get 5 plate apperances ......
ReplyDeleteDusty swung at the first pitch, too. Bah.
ReplyDeleteSome days Lugo channels Alex Gonzalez. Most days he channels Edgar Renteria....
