Troy Glaus's solo home run down the left field line off MDC in the top of the eighth erased a 4-3 Boston lead and Vernon Wells's two-run home run to center off Jeemer in the top of the ninth broke the tie.
Jason Varitek was on base four times tonight: walking in the second and fifth, hitting a two-run dong in the sixth and singling in the eighth. Crisp singled and doubled, Ortiz singled twice and walked, and Ellsbury doubled and scored a run.
***
Shaun Marcum (3.75, 124 ERA+) / Curt Schilling (4.02, 113 ERA+)
Schilling has made five starts since coming off the disabled list on August 6: 31 IP, 31 H, 2 BB, 15 K, 3.48 ERA.
Marcum has pitched at least six innings in 17 of his 21 starts this year, teaming up with AJ Burnett as Toronto's top two starters. However, Marcum's ERA in his last three outings (14 IP) is 7.71 and opponents are .393/.433/.656. (His record in those three starts is 2-1, so Joe Morgan would insist he's doing quite well.)
Seattle plays in New York at 7 PM: Washburn/Hughes.
hoi! i'm a new reader of the blog!
ReplyDeletego sox!
welcome to jos, hollin!
ReplyDeleteFrom WEEI/Globe:
Lugo, SS
Ellsbury, LF
Ortiz, DH
Lowell, 3B
Drew, RF
Youkilis, 1B
Varitek, C
Crisp, CF
Cora, 2B
LBJ second, huh? Interesting.
ReplyDeletePretty smart move, actually.
Not that it matters, but I might've gone LBJ, Youks and then put Lugo in the 6-hole.
ReplyDeleteNot smart to have slügo up there though. Throw him in the 9 spot, have LBJ lead off with Yook second then bump everyone else up one, IMO.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try and not watch this game, since I have to study for a make up exam at 9am tomorrow, but knowing me, I'll be watchin.
"LBJ" to th' glossary when you have the time.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind LBJ second, as he can probably advance the lead-off solidly (if he gets on), but did my lazy mind recall that lugo's done better when he's in the bottom of the order?
ReplyDeleteWhile I'll miss him in the game I'm all for giving "Fuck Yeah!" a day off.
hopefully I'll be by a TV later..have more meetings tonight (last night I got home at 11:30pm).
have fun.
LBJ and JtC have been added to Glossary.
ReplyDeleteI just watched a very dramatic and exciting ending to what appeared to be an easy Phillies win over the Braves.
ReplyDeleteThe score was 8-2 going to the bottom of the 8th in Atlanta. Tom Gordon came in to pitch, and Chipper Jones greeted him with a lead-off double. Mark Teixiera went F9, and then the bloops began.
I don't think I've ever seen so many bloop hits before. Brian McCann blooped to right center, then Jeff Francouer blooped just over Chase Utley's head into right field to score Jones. 8-3. Scott Thorman pinch-hit, and blooped a single to shallow left to load the bases.
So Gordon couldn't get the job done. Charlie Manuel called upon his closer, Brett Myers, for a five-out save. Bases loaded for Yunel Escobar. Myers threw a pitch that kicked off of the catcher and a run scored. 8-4. Escobar then walked to load the bases once again. Up came Matt Diaz, and he blooped one on the infield that didn't even make it to the infield dirt. Francouer scored. 8-5.
Willie Harris, who hit his second home run of the season earlier, came up and walked with the bases loaded. Thorman scored. 8-6.
That's all the Braves would get in the bottom of the eighth, as Kelly Johnson fouled out to third and Chipper Jones flew out to left.
8-6 into the bottom of the 9th, and it looked like Brett Myers was on cruise control. He struck out Mark Teixiera, then got Brayan Pena to ground out to first.
2 out in the bottom of the 9th. It looked like the Braves were cooked. But Jeff Francouer came up and hit a little ducksnort toward shortstop in the infield and reached, then took second on indifference. Martin Prado took over for Chipper Jones in the top of the 9th as part of a double switch. He hit a Baltimore chop right off of home plate that bounced to the right of the pitcher, and Myers' throw was high.
Men at the corners with two out for Yunel Escobar, the winning run. He walked on four pitches to load the bases for... Matt Diaz.
Diaz took a first strike, then on the next pitch hit one to right field. The back-story here is that the Phillies outfielders were in closer because of all of those bloop hits in the 8th. Chris Roberson rushed back, back, back, and almost to the track reached up. The ball hit the edge of his mitt and fell, rolling to the wall.
Francouer scored, as did Prado. Escobar rounded third as the throw came in just a little wide of home plate, and Escobar scored...
Braves win. Such an amazing comeback. 8-2 in the bottom of the 8th inning, and the Braves score 4. 2 out in the bottom of the 9th with the bases empty, the Braves load the bases and then score three to win it.
Wow.
LBJ and JtC have been added to Glossary.
ReplyDeleteThat's good because I had no idea who JtC was.
Ish, thanks for the nice narrative. Yahoo's Gameday crapped the bed after Franceour's single in the ninth, so I didn't find out until later.
ReplyDeleteI, perhaps strangely, like the Braves and would love to see them back in it. But despite what a great win this was, their chances are closer to none than to slim.
ish, that is crazy. Glad to see man- and woman-beater Brett Myers blow it in that fashion. That's so weird, because within the last few hours, I wrote a blog entry about a commercial I heard which mentions a "walk-off triple." My contention was that this hardly ever happens, and is in fact nearly impossible. As I'm reading the end of your description, I'm thinking, Oh my lord, sounds like this actually could be a walk-of triple! I checked Gameday, though, and he was credited with a double. Proving my theory! (Did you happen to see how close the hitter got to third?)
ReplyDeleteI;m off to the game right now, so if you answer this, I can't respond til later....
From the Herald's clubhouse insider blog:
ReplyDeleteThe Baseball Hall of Fame will be including the scorecard of Providence Journal reporter Joe McDonald in the display on Clay Buchholz’ no hitter that it is putting together.
I wonder how much he is charging for his scorecard?
Lots of the local beat writers on WEEI today. Look for stories calling for Ellsbury to replace Drew to start appearing in 5 or 6 days (just before Being returns).
They just continue to hammer on Drew, but now the new drum beat is that he needs to get his head on straight. Evidence of his head being bad is his refusal to use the "wall" while at Fenway.
Last night I posted an all-caps THAT'S MY BOY when LBJ hit the triple... only I accidentally posted it to my own blog. Oops.
ReplyDeleteThe Baseball Hall of Fame will be including the scorecard of Providence Journal reporter Joe McDonald in the display on Clay Buchholz’ no hitter that it is putting together.
ReplyDeleteI hear the HoF asked the CHB for his, but ultimately said no after they discovered that Dan had scribbled "ah hell", "fuckin' rook" and "great, now i have to write something positive about the sox" on it.
L is out tonight -- may be back for the late innings -- so I'll be modding.
ReplyDeletePlay Ball!
So was checking out Bill Burt's Talks Sports (Bradfords old blog) when I came accross this comment by Mr. Joshua - We need to replace Schilling next year. I don’t know where all these players come from next year. We have so many holes up and down this lineup. This is not a playoff team. We might get by the Indians but never the Angels nor the Yankees for that matter.
ReplyDeleteI’ d rather 3 and out and get rid of Theo and Lucky Larry. Change the ownership group.
Is it just me or is this guy a MFY troll!
He's a idiot.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a playoff team.
He says this about the team that has had the best record in baseball pretty much the entire year.
How is this guy bright enough to remember to keep breathing every day?
So what do we do with Clement when he comes back,? Put him in the pen?
ReplyDeleteClement?
ReplyDeleteIf he can, let him pitch one inning in the final game of the year.
I agree with RS about Clement.
ReplyDeleteI would not be surprised to see the Sox offer him a 1 yr. contract in the off season. Something along the line of 1 yr 3 or 4 mil.
I bet he's washed up by now, and we wouldn't need him in the rotation next year, cause we'll have Beckett, Dice-k, Wake, Lester or Bucholz, and possibly Shill .
ReplyDeletei'd be surprised if they did anything more than wave bye bye to clement.
ReplyDeletebut maybe they see from his rehab he could pitch next year. beats me.
when did we get clement? just kidding. i was really pulling for the guy. he looked dominant his first 1/2 year with the sox, but fell apart after that. he could help down the stretch in spot starts to get starters some rest or in long relief before the playoffs. 1st inning dong?
ReplyDeletegoogle fucking up
ReplyDeleteloaded for drew....
ReplyDeleteHey! GDGD said "run(s)" on Lowell's single! I feel cheated.
ReplyDeleteBlog went boom for a minute there. At least for me.
i guess the operator thought lbj would score.
ReplyDeleteGoing for the sweep today! Not that it matters, since the chokers are finish in the division.
ReplyDeletelbj could have scored...at least drew didn't pop out
ReplyDeletebuffy still saying "else berry"
ReplyDeleteRBI Drew! Well done!
ReplyDeleteUh...right, guys?
Fragging Hill, that ball was scorched!
ReplyDelete0-0 top of 2nd in dah bronx.
Google fucked up on my computer. Anyone else?
ReplyDeleteThat pitch to Drew was right down the pipe.
zen, if i understand the weei mouthbreathers correctly, any runs drew drives in do not actually count.
ReplyDeletegot into an argument yesterday with a yankee fan who told me that the yankees do not care about winning the division and that they would gladly trade one of their division titles from the last 7 years for a world series title, so winning the division means nothing. he mentioned the sweep last week and how it will happen again...i reminded him of a three game losing streak that ended in the worst choke in sports history...things got quiet. it's not worth the time to talk to these boneheaded people.
ReplyDeletesettle down schill.
ReplyDeletemfy fans have been yakking about the division for years -- now all of a sudden the division is not important. i wonder why.
ReplyDeletewere you talking to murray chass? he wrote that 2004 really didn't count because the sox did not win the division.
Yeah, I don't know how to feel. I want Drew to get credit for at least hanging in there as a so-so player this year. But at the same time, I would have liked a base hit.
ReplyDeleteAt least it wasn't a DP. A run's a run.
I wonder about that "mouthbreather" thing, though. Do dumb people breathe through their mouths?
No offense to you, RS, but there are some expressions that start to seem overused to me rather quickly. "I threw up in mouth a little" is another one.
what a play by cora!
ReplyDeletefuck yeah!!!! einstein!!!!
ReplyDeleteEINSTEIN!
ReplyDeleteUncle Joe: "Alex Cora will always find a way to make his presence felt in a game."
alright call them "shit for brains" - that one never goes out of style!
ReplyDeletebill simmons STILL uses the "threw up in my mouth" line. it's sad how much of a self-parody he's become.
zen, if i understand the weei mouthbreathers correctly, any runs drew drives in do not actually count.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct sir!
What a play by Cora!!!
Uncle Joe: "Alex Cora will always find a way to make his presence felt in a game."
ReplyDeletethat is not necessarily always a good thing.
and the jays strand a pair.
ReplyDeleteIf he can, let him pitch one inning in the final game of the year.
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps let him pitch a game after the Sox clinch the division.
But do you guys really think Clement will be able to pitch in a MLB game before the end of the season?
Big K from the Big Fella. He's hitting 92/3 according to GD. Still got it?
ReplyDeletei do not expect to see him.
ReplyDeletethat is not necessarily always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThis is true, but I think more often than not it is a good thing. Unless he happens to be swinging at a slider at his feet.
Small ball! Angel pride.
ReplyDeleteI would be surprised if he didn't make one appearance. From all indications he has worked very hard in the Rehab and is on track. Plus he just wants to pitch one inning, and that should be easily done.
ReplyDeletecoco has been a bag of suck lately, but i hate bunts so early.
ReplyDeleteah fuck -- a DP
Two bullets tonight and both became outs. Cora smoked that ball.
ReplyDeletecora having another effect.
ReplyDeletegoing to fenway south (baltimore) tomorrow night. was hoping to see buchholz if he was staying in the rotation, but i love seeing wake. maybe he'll throw a no-no.
ReplyDeletebarehand, and a beauty!
ReplyDeletePlus he just wants to pitch one inning, and that should be easily done.
ReplyDeleteReminds me a little bit of a game earlier in the season in Chicago. The Cubs were getting blown out and they brought in Kerry Wood for one inning. Wrigley field suddenly burst to life. It was a little bit of a shaky inning, but he got two strikes on a batter with 2 out, and the place was rockin'. Then he struck him out, and you would have thought the Cubbies had just clinched a spot in the playoffs.
CAT-LIKE REFLEXES.
STABBED BY CURT!
ReplyDeletebare hand off to the side.
Only difference with Clement is the likelihood that he won't get that kind of an ovation. He'll get an ovation, but not on the level that Kerry Wood got.
ReplyDeletei still hate dusty baker for ruining wood's shoulder in his rookie season. ... i'll bet kerry spent many nights wondering what could have been ...
ReplyDelete3 solid from Curt + and Ibanez 2R DONG. So far, so good.
ReplyDeleteRS, that's why I wouldn't mind not seeing too much of Clay Buchholz for the rest of this season.
ReplyDeleteAnd I certainly applaud the way the Red Sox are using Bot this season. The program he goes through, etc.
I was surprised he pitched last night's 9th inning. The first time he worked three games in a row this season.
Ok, lets get the offense going here.
ReplyDelete2-0 in dah Bronx, M's.
Look at how close LBJ gets to first on a grounder to second!
ReplyDeleteScouts have said they've clocked Ellsbury at 4.0 seconds from home to first.
In this series.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised he pitched last night's 9th inning. The first time he worked three games in a row this season.
ReplyDeleteTito may want to bury the MFY right now while we are playing chumps like the Blue Jays (who just swept the Mariners -- the same Mariners who may now be sweeping the Yanks!!!).
Plus Ibanez's dong was hit off The Second Coming!!!
my tv just went black.
ReplyDeletefuckin' rogers!
the yankees have lost the last four games that the "second coming" has pitched
ReplyDeleteshift this! oh...damn it papi, you're not rickey henderson.
ReplyDeleteOrtiz hit a single to left then was cut down trying to stretch it to a double. It was sort of in the corner, but Ortiz almost made it. Actually, I thought he got in there. But the umpire didn't.
ReplyDeletesince clay's no-hitter, posters at the nyyfans messageboard have been referring to hughes's 6 no-hit innings against texas (when he had to leave the game with an injury) as a no-hitter.
ReplyDeleteTV is back.
Papi just got thrown out at second by Stairs.
ReplyDeleteMFY's won last night so no sweep by the M's. Now 2-1 with the M's getting a lead off double in the 4th.
Ortiz was out. Saw the replay.
ReplyDeletesince clay's no-hitter, posters at the nyyfans messageboard have been referring to hughes's 6 no-hit innings against texas (when he had to leave the game with an injury) as a no-hitter.
ReplyDeleteIf that's a no-hitter, so's Devern Hansack's 5 no-hit innings during the final game of the season last year before the game got rained on.
most yankee fans do not know who phillip hughes is.
ReplyDeleteMFY's won last night so no sweep by the M's.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! I should know that -- being obsessed with them and all.
2-1 SEA. Man at third for Seattle in the top of the 4th, 1 out.
ReplyDeleteLopez batting.
buffy just used the phrase "clogging up the bases" re ortiz.
ReplyDeletegood fucking god.
hansack is not a true yankee (tm), so i am afraid you are mistaken.
ReplyDeletethe posters at nyyfans are truly retarded morons. sosh has a members-only thread entitled "continuing to make fun of nyyfans" which keeps tabs on their wisdom.
ReplyDeletelowell is the new einstein!
ReplyDeletevery nice by lowell...he IS the man!
ReplyDeleteNice play by Mikey!!!
ReplyDeletetop of the 4th gets nothing for the m's. still 2-1
in two sentences, rance just said that rios should have gone straight home at full speed AND gone right back to third base.
ReplyDeletei need some remdawg!!!
he said something to that effect. that if he was running on contact he would have continued for home.
ReplyDeleteso when the sox come to toronto, the jays are having an irish night, where all fans in some to-be-set-up "irish section" get a green hat.
ReplyDelete"irish section"? wtf?
maybe they can try a "coloured section" next season.
is it sad that the game's only run was driven in by jd drew?
ReplyDeleteIt's more sad that Drew has the only RBI tonight and the "smartest fans in baseball" are booing him (before doing the wave).
ReplyDeletei know drew does not have much credit in fans' banks, but coming into this game, his OBP for the entire season was .357. varitek's was .358.
ReplyDeletesince the ASG, drew has hit .254. yook is hitting .231 and tek is at .220.
in fact, tek's slugging since the ASG is LOWER than his OBP.
...the "smartest fans in baseball" are booing him (before doing the wave).
ReplyDeleteMaybe they were saying dreeeew.
2-1 in da bronx top of 6th (because I know you are obsessed with them) ;)
Great camera work, NESN. They barely showed that last catch. It was at the very left of the screen. They were more concerned about the guy running to first.
ReplyDeleteway to block the plate, capt.
ReplyDeletefuck.
Looked like he got his foot in. But it looks like he got tagged on the hand. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteThat throw right there should end any speculation about LBJ playing right, not with that arm.
ReplyDeleteStop the bleeding, Curt!
ReplyDeleteNo, not in your goddam foot!
lyndon does have the speed and range to play right, which might be more important than the arm -- which seems average.
ReplyDeletejays hitters must be praying better than curt this inning.
ReplyDeletei need a drink.
ReplyDeleteLBJ awesome catch!
ReplyDeleteNow we need to order up some offense with a side of more offense.
NESN's still showing the replay of the play at the plate. It still looks like 'Tek got him, but the run is still on the board.
ReplyDeleteococ tnub.
ReplyDeleteYeah, oCoC! Beautiful bunt! Angel pride!
ReplyDeleteSTOP fucking bunting!!!!
ReplyDeletechrist..
meaning einstein -- no bunts.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't support a Cora bunt right now.
ReplyDeleteFUCK -- BASAHE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteStrange gamble to let him bunt with 2 strikes.
ReplyDeletegod damn it -- great play, tito.
ReplyDeletefor fuck's sake.
loaded for lyndon.
ReplyDeleteWell here comes LBJ with ducks on the pond. This should be interesting, at worst. Awesome at best.
ReplyDeleteI like how Ellsbury just poked that high fastball away, especially having an inside and high pitch called a strike.
ReplyDeleteJtC is pitching in a 2-1 SEA ballgame in the 7th inning in New York.
ReplyDeleteSF will do!!
ReplyDeleteredsock mentioned irish night in toronto...rays are having a "1/2 way to St. Patty Day" when the red sox are down here later this month. they are giving away rays leprechaun hats.
ReplyDeletelet's have a quick 6th here.
ReplyDeleteBonds hits #762.
ReplyDeleteA-Rod does it again. 2-2 da bronx
ReplyDelete5 pitches, 2 outs.
ReplyDelete10 pitch inning. curt at 90.
ReplyDeletetime to chase marcum here.
dr
jd
yook
tek...
marcum gone! wolfe in.
ReplyDeleteyook hbp yet again.
ReplyDeletePeskied by Tek!!!
ReplyDeleteCAPTAIN DONG.
ReplyDeleteVARI-DONG!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo capt.
tek hit a fb up -- but not too much up!
ReplyDeleteSo, probably no Bot tonight. That would mean Oki Doki would close, you'd think.
ReplyDeleteApparently that means Bryan Corey is going to try and hold this one-run lead in the top of the 7th.
extra crispy double!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoCoC WHEELS!
ReplyDeleteHe had a double on his mind at impact.
Glad to see Einstein not bunting here.
ReplyDeletecorey in.
ReplyDelete2007 debut for corey - #41.
ReplyDeleteMDC up.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they'll play the 8th.
dp pls
ReplyDeleteIf all goes like Francona wants we will see Corey-MDC then the jeemer.
ReplyDelete4-2 MFY in the 7th.
463 -- THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteGot lucky there
ReplyDeletenice quick shovel pass from einstein.
ReplyDeleteNow 5-2 mfy
ReplyDeleteImportant DP there. Now we'll most likely see MDC for the 8th.
ReplyDelete8 pitch inning for corey.
ReplyDeletebuffy seems to think showing the sox pen or mentioning who might be up is against the law, so i have no idea what is happening out there.
ReplyDelete7-2 MFY in da bronx, with 5 pitchers used and 30 minutes for this half of the 7th. 10 men come to the plate.
ReplyDeletefirst app. by brandon league since august 4.
ReplyDeletei liked reading either the post or daily news game story this morning of last night's ny win and it was only wild card talk.
ReplyDeleteno mention whatsoever of boston or the east division.
4 pitch walk and buh-bye league.
ReplyDeletedowns in.
we need some good times from flo.
ReplyDeleteThe Sox need to keep on moving the train.
ReplyDeletemdc up again
ReplyDeleteanother bases loaded 1 out situation for J.D. we need a hit here.
ReplyDeletebuffyvision mentions drew and his performance and 70 million, yet they talk about how disappoiitning wells has been this season without ever mentioning the 7 year/126 million.
ReplyDeletethey also talk about how jd looks passive, has no drive.
ReplyDeleteno one - NO ONE - gets to the big leagues without a shitload of drive and determiantion.
idiots. just parroting everything they have heard from other idiots. a fucking circle jerk of moronitude.
tampa 17, baltimore 2 (after 7)
ReplyDeleteDrew is the poster boy of whipping boys.
ReplyDeleteOuch, could have used a run there.
9-2 in da bronx.
fuck, bases loaded and nothing. well i hope that doesnt comeback to bite us in the ass.
ReplyDeleteyanks will be three games up after they finish it up in the bronx.
question: does that pretty much seal the deal for the yanks? do you really see seattle getting hot in this last month to comeback? (remember its a question, not an opnion before you jump up my ass)
if they can talk about the sox's 6 game lead being dicey, then ny's 3 game lead is really thin.
ReplyDeletetampa 17, baltimore 2 (after 7)
ReplyDeleteWas just about to comment on this one....poor Baltimore. They really, really suck.
Ooh sheeit, Ankiel jack!
another HR for ankiel - #7
ReplyDeletetimlin and jeemer up
ReplyDelete3 games is esp. fragile, since the yankees are known to choke in the clutch.
ReplyDeleteFucking Glaus.
ReplyDeleteorioles are running out of time to make good on that baltimore's writer claim that they will finish ahead of us.
ReplyDelete..
EFF U GLOSS>
Fragging Glaus, and once again the pen blows a game for Schilling.
ReplyDeleteVery good (Ankiel)
ReplyDeleteFRACK. Thanks mdc.
Seattle looks like they're cooked, to me. I think Detroit has one more run at the wildcard in them, but it will be close. Seattle just seems to be going the wrong way. Then again, so does Detroit. But Detroit looks like too good a team to be out of it.
Hard hit balls. Blah. The squander does hurt.
when (besides '04) have the yankees been known to blow it in the clutch? don't they have more championships than anyone in the history of sports? (makes me cringe)
ReplyDeletedidnt they build up a pretty in reputation in the 90's?
remember im a sox fan. it just never dawned on me that they we notorius for blowng shit. (BESIDES '04!)
RUNS.
ReplyDeleteRUNS.
RUNS.
RUNS.
RUNS.
we need.
OK LETS GET SOME RUNS!
ReplyDeleteCalling Flo Runoff. Expect bouncing at the plate bottom 9
ReplyDeletenix,
ReplyDeletethey/mo choked in 01, then they choked in the first round in 02, fell on their face to josh and the marlins in 03, had the biggest choke job in the history of baseball in 04, i forget what happened in 05, disappeared against the tigers in 06 ...
... chronic underachievers.
WTF college Volleyball?
ReplyDeletei dont know if losing in the 7th game in the WS in both VERY CLOSE games counts as blowing it/choking. its not like they had a 3-0 lead in the series like in '04. so even if you the 2000's i still dont think thats what they are known for...thats just me. they're definitely not the yanks of old, and we're not the yesterdays sox either, and i'm happier for it.
ReplyDeletehi all. just got home. what's up?
ReplyDeleteKennedy's replacement hasnt given us enough to maintain the feverish passion we have for him
ReplyDeleteWOW. It just got worse, ladies and gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteThis commercial break on Buffyvision is brought to you by Polaris. The fucking COMMERCIAL BREAK has a SPONSOR!!!
I've got the gun in my mouth and my finger on the trigger, it's about to go click! I can't take this shit anymore! (this statement brought to you by Smith and Wesson)
Enough with these freaking bunt attempts. Unless they are trying to bunt for a hit I DON'T WANT TO SEE THESE MF'S BUNTING BECAUSE THEY SUCK AT IT.
ReplyDeletefuck, slappy with 2 jacks in the 7th.
ReplyDeletefyi: i have deleted 3 comments tonight from a yankees fan that have been directed at various posts here, all written in real time.
ReplyDeleteso this guy is sitting at home, following the game thread at jos inning after inning after inning, quickly typing comments that will never be read. (actually he has commented numerous times in each of the last 3 games.)
but remember ... it's us who are obsessed with them.
when I speak to you L-Girl do i say YBJ? LBJ is kinda like speaking in the third person when I am directing it to you.
ReplyDeleteWell where are all my quality posts?
ReplyDeleteHey there, L. Maybe you could bring us some runs! Heh.
ReplyDeleteI want a bobble desk to throw at my tv during these idiotic ramblings
ReplyDeleteTim, don't do it!!!
ReplyDeleteHolee shit. Just when you thought it was safe to take off the mute button...
I think L would like to be called JGL.
ReplyDelete:>)
hi ish, i'll do my best :)
ReplyDeleteGlossarize that shit RS
ReplyDeleteThis works into my plans for a Papi walkoff-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteCora is certainly making his presence known.
ReplyDeleteI hope this delay in posts is caused by you updating the glossary
ReplyDeleteWill Papi win a book for "jake"?
ReplyDeleteI wonder what religion Oki is cuz that look into his hat thenb the pull on the jersey is very spiritual looking.
ReplyDeleteRe delay in posts, I'm on it. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, we're looking a little limp tonight.
ReplyDeleteJust got in and I'm not real inspired here
BTW L-girl.
Last night I posted an all-caps THAT'S MY BOY when LBJ hit the triple... only I accidentally posted it to my own blog. Oops.
I saw that this morning on your blog and just laughed out loud.
I knew exactly when it was put there!
might be reading some notes.
ReplyDeleteSosock, that's hilarious. *I* didn't even know it was there until Allan told me this afternoon!
ReplyDeleteNote to self, keep one blog open at a time...
And hey, thanks for reading wmtc, Sosock.
ReplyDeleteto really make it puckering i call jays score 3 in this half inning or does that exclude a walkoff? however many runs they can score while still allowing for a large lefty longball lifting the sox to victory.
ReplyDeleteOh shut up Buffy.
ReplyDeleteno walk off in the 9th
ReplyDeleteARRRRRRRRGH
ReplyDeletetiz can only tie the game now.
ReplyDeletesorry jake.
