Pedro Martinez hopes to return to the Mets rotation on Monday against Cincinnati. Pedro, who had rotator-cuff surgery 11 months ago, threw 64 pitches in a bullpen session last night.
The Mets are 2 GA of the Phillies in the National League East and are tied with San Diego for the best record (74-60) in the NL.
