Debbie Clemens:
Roger came to me one day and told me that we had been asked to do a photo shoot for Sports Illustrated. I had major anxiety! I was a 39-year-old mother of 4! Once I realized that this WAS going to be a reality, I decided I had to give it everything I had. My mind was set. I am not a risk-taker, but have since learned that with great risk, sometimes comes great reward. And then there's this oldie from December:
That's just wrong!
He looks like Rob Corddry in the 2/7 Post picture.
ReplyDeleteIt might be wrong as you say, but it's still pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteThis story has more twists then a Josh Beckett fast ball.
TRUCK DAY!
ReplyDeletewooo TRUCK DAY :D
ReplyDeleteFUCK SAKES to this virtual waiting room - ARGH need my tix!!!
While I wholeheartedly agree with jere, the tickets are all assigned to lottery winners, theres no need for this crap - they still implement it - WTF!!!
I had that "He Took It In The Butt" cover on my site last month. Wrong? Maybe. But oh so sweet...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Truck Day, Redsock...
For those not old enough to remember the strangely pointless Ernie Bushmiller comic strip "Nancy," Roger's new hair style is known as "the Sluggo" (before that, "the Curly"). As opposed to a smooth shave ("the Yul," "the Montel" or "the Youk") a Sluggo makes one look like you've been hired to break legs for a mafia loanshark. Which---who knows?---might have been Rocket's fate if his career had continued on the downward path it was heading in Toronto before Roger met Brian. Can't understand why he opted for the style now, however, especially when he was going to be lobbying reps. Maybe he wants to scare them.
ReplyDeleteI also don't get Fat Billy's choice of hairstyle. He does look a dumb jerk who would break someone's leg for money. Oh, yeah, that's what he is. Ask Mike Piazza.
ReplyDeleteIt might be wrong as you say, but it's still pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Allan thinks it's wrong. About as wrong as the Red Sox winning two WS in 4 years.

ReplyDeletePerfect. "Strangely pointless" is a perfect description, too.
