One of the cards in Topps upcoming 2008 series -- a shot of the Red Sox's on-field celebration after clinching the World Series last October -- features an unexpected participant: Rudy Giuliani.
You may recall Rudy pledging his loyalty to the Red Sox last fall, as soon as his Chokers were sent packing by Cleveland. Topps manager Clay Luraschi: "We thought it would make for a funny card, since the Red Sox won. We thought, let's put him in the championship dog pile."

An abomination.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's very funny having Rudes in that.
ReplyDeleteNo turncoat will taint our beloved Sox.
It fits Rudi's M.O.
ReplyDeleteIt fits Rudi's M.O.
ReplyDeleteExcept he's not wearing a dress.
That is a bad joke.
ReplyDeleteDone badly.
ReplyDeleteHaw haw fuckin haw....
ReplyDeleteExcept he's not wearing a dress.
ReplyDeleteNot that there's anything wrong with that...
Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least he's not getting anywhere near the white house.
This started last year with Bush on the Jeter card. I think with that one they didn't announce it and just let people discover it.
ReplyDeleteAt least if Rudy was in a dress, the card would have been arguably kinda funny. And kids who get the card won't get it at all. Embarrassingly dumb stunt.
ReplyDeleteIf it bugs Rudy even a little, it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteI want one of these.
I want one of these.
ReplyDeleteThe heck with that. I'm just gonna photoshop myself into it.
i hate that bald little troll.
ReplyDeleteheh, courtesy of Extra Bases...
ReplyDelete"Matsuzaka, meanwhile, has turned his Mohawk from last season into something of a mullet. It's definitely a party in the back."
