From Extra Bases: FORT MYERS, Fla. - Bartolo Colon, pitching for Boston's Lancaster A-ball affiliate, threw three innings and allowed four hits with two strikeouts at City of Palms Park this morning.
"The big thing is that his arm felt good,"
I'm about ready for the next step for Colon. Sure he can throw the ball, but I'm really not impressed with him giving up 4 hits in 3 innings to A ballers. There are 18 year olds in A ball.
He's "ahead of schedule". We'll just have to see how this pans out.
Manny is being Manny, and that's a good thing! Duke lost to West By-God today, so all of us Tarheel fans are engaging in a little schadenfreude. The Lancaster pitching coach was very positive about Colon's performance, said velocity was good and his new change-up was effective, but Patrick has a point - we'll see I guess
They are expecting me to earn my pay at work today, so you're on your own.
