Mark Kotsay underwent arthroscopic surgery last Thursday in Los Angeles and may start the regular season on the disabled list. MLB's Ian Browne reports that Kotsay's surgery removed a displaced disc fragment.
Browne has also posted a transcript of his Q&A with Terry Francona. ... At shortstop this spring, it'll be Lowrie vs Lugo.
Francona: I think, we all know what we had last year, but I think what's maybe a little bit better is I think our bullpen looks to be more well-rounded, a little deeper, which is exciting.
ReplyDeleteAnd then he coughed, and the reported could have sworn Terry was saying the name "Timlin" in the same breath.
The Wilkerson signing makes more sense now.
ReplyDeleteditto ish.
ReplyDeleteThey really have to take a longer look at who they hire as team doctor.....
ReplyDeleteThis problem with Kotsay had to be known when they signed him and also last year with Schilling....
My question is why didn't we re-sign Eric Hinske, instead of Kotsay?
ReplyDeleteHe was definitely a better option, in my eyes.
