David Ortiz spoke to Gary Tanguay and Mike Felger of
Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight this evening about his relationship with banned MLB trainer Angel Presinal:
This place, where he work at, is a facility that is like five minutes away from my house [in the Dominican Republic]. So, it's like an Olympic place, where everybody go and hit, run, do all their work in, and that's like in the middle of everybody's house. So we all go there and work out. [pause] He's a good trainer. He's the guy that know how to teach -- he teach you how to train, how to get your body ready to go. You know, but besides that, I have no idea about this.

I am getting worried. What if the whole island invasion was due to a readily available supply of hormones.
ReplyDeleteIf Presinal is as bad as MLB and the media make him out to be....Ortiz is in some trouble. I cant believe that he didn't know about Presinals well documented troubles....its going to be fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteWhat's concerning about Ortiz is how his body has been breaking down, followed by his impressive loss of weight this off season (Giambiesque?).
ReplyDeleteNeither of which confirms anything, but I wouldn't bet against him having juiced.

ReplyDeleteOy.
Did Papi loose weight?
ReplyDeleteI see no evidence that he adopted HGH's No-"Cheeseburger"-Diet.
ReplyDeletefollowed by his impressive loss of weight this off season
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice this. Anyone have before/after photos?
Here's an after picture
ReplyDeleteRegardless, he looks healthy and fit. I'm psyched.

After what?.....He looks the same to me , maybe I am missing something....This is how rumors get started......
He still looks pretty beefy to me.
ReplyDeleteBy before/after, I meant last season, this spring training. As in, was there really an "impressive loss of weight this off season"?
So far I see no evidence of weight loss, impressive or otherwise.
Christ, why don't we at least wait to see if the man is on the positive list before we jump to conclusions based on a trainer he worked with. Is there no possibility that this trainer procures steroids if asked, but it's not his only tool? That players have worked with him but not necessarily used PEDs?
If evidence comes out that Papi or Petey used PEDs, then so be it. But why not save premature rumour mongering about Red Sox players for fucking Yankee fans?
Hey hey. All I said is I wouldn't be shocked if Papi had used PEDs.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying he did.
And I do think he looks more trim than he did last off season.
