However, it is also important to realize that there is no "official story" of what happened eight years ago. For example, NORAD has given at least seven different versions of the military's response before and during the hijackings.
Any actual investigation of 9/11 would be the first, but most people -- despite the "Never Forget!" bumper stickers -- no longer care (or never cared in the first place), considering how stories like this are published with some frequency and immediately ignored.

Thanks for the 9/11 post, A. I decided to be silent on it this year. I've had posts of remembrances (my own and other New Yorkers, like Art Speigelman), anti-war posts, pro-truth posts. I feel like I've said all I have to say on 9/11 - especially given that in Iraq and Afghanistan, 9/11 is still taking place on a daily basis.

So while I also thought it was the Red Sox decision if the game was to start or not I think you nailed it. It was the umps call.

I was confused because I always read it as you posted..."this game will be part 1 of a day night doubleheader" or whatever....but apparently that's not how it goes down for ticketholders. Cause that would've been great for me. But instead I got stuck going to game 162, at 8pm instead of the 1pmer....
ahh well, too much of the bitters (Campari) has made me bitter. time for some sweet sweet shisha and movie night.

I went back to Ish's blog to check out a post from our friend BR, which I was going to copy here. The post said something to the effect of "so what, you beat the O's. ANYONE can beat the O's, they're horrible" I say "something to the effect of" because I can't copy them exactly. Oddly enough, all of his comments are gone. Now perhaps Ish removed them, but since he allowed them in to begin with, I have to believe our buddy decided they could be embarrassing and deleted them himself.
Maybe. Maybe not.
Either way I find it amusing that he states no one should ever lose to the O's, and then the Skankies get manhandled by them
