Any idea why the number change for Ellsbury and Bucholtz?
ReplyDeleteLBJ wants to be more like CI.
ReplyDeleteNot really.
ReplyDelete"I wore it in high school. It's may favorite number. I always wanted it. The Red Sox always knew I wanted it. Brad wasn't going to give it to me. When I heard Brad was promoted, within two minutes, I called Pookie."
On one of the live NESN shows this weekend, Watney asked Ellsbury about the change, and said "you've got big shoes to fill, with RemDog's old number," and Jacoby said, "I did not know that."
ReplyDeleteNot that I expected him to know, but you'd think someone would have mentioned that to him since he switched.
Also, from ProJo: "Ellsbury has switched numbers, leaving behind his old 47 for No. 2." Come on!

ReplyDeleteD'oh!
Buchholz wore 11 in Portland when I saw him on NESN once. I think he may have also worn it in Pawtucket.
ReplyDeleteGood choice, man! That's my favorite number.
Oh, and Buchholz knocked up his lady. How early in childhood will HH Jr. start stealing laptops?
