Josh Beckett pitched a simulated game at Tropicana Field this afternoon, facing five Gulf Coast League batters, and Jeremy Hermida. He threw 65 pitches in four innings.
Peter Abraham live-blogged the session for the Globe (and posted a photo). Beckett had been scheduled to pitch in an actual GCL game in Sarasota, but it was rained out.
