Saltalamacchia Joins Red Sox; Cash On DL

Jarrod Saltalamacchia is on his way to Toronto to join the Red Sox as the team put Kevin Cash on the disabled list with a severe inability to play baseball a hamstring injury.

The switch-hitting Saltalamacchia, 25, was 5-for-21 in five games for the PawSox.

    If Varitek returns in the 7-10 day time frame being thrown around, then I imagine that Cash will be released once he is off the DL
