Mike Lowell homered to start the eighth and Jed Lowrie singled. After one out, Daniel Nava walked, putting the potential tying runs on base. But Scutaro popped up to first (on the first pitch) and J.D. Drew popped up to second (on a 1-0 count).

(which is where they were all along, of course.)
i am pissed and cannot think straight. one huge problem was there were liberals who promised they would support the bill, then either did not vote YES or just happened to be out of the room when it was time to vote.

Seeing the Red Sox 2003 series again was painful, but seeing the 2004 series against the Yankees brought back some great memories, particularly in light of the results of this season. IT WAS SO AWESOME. Maybe Allan can write a post about it.

With this outcome of the season, I wish the Red Sox could have played the Orioles or the Blue Jays or Rangers or, anyone but the Yankees, in the final series of the season.

You know what I sometimes think would be fun? Everyone get his/her 2004 DVDs and we can somehow start a game at the same time and do a thread!
