ReplyDeleteSounds like a very frustrating day up there for you all. Hopefully this game can be somewhat uplifting?
ReplyDeleteI just got home from a very long day at work.
ReplyDeleteyet more evidence (not that any was needed) that the liberals up here (like the dems down there) are fuckin worthless, spineless assholes who are cowards when it comes to having any non-conservative principles.
ReplyDeleteNo one has a monopoly on cowardly politicians.
ReplyDeletesure, but conservatives vote for conservative things, progressives vote for progressive things.
ReplyDeletebut liberals do not stand for anything, they are terrified of taking a stand and sticking with it. also, like the US dems, they talk like they are on the left, but when it comes to actually voting for something, they join the conservatives. (which is where they were all along, of course.)
i am pissed and cannot think straight. one huge problem was there were liberals who promised they would support the bill, then either did not vote YES or just happened to be out of the room when it was time to vote.
ReplyDeleteWow, they changed their votes at the last minute? How did they explain that??
ReplyDeletei don't think they have to explain it, but they likely will be getting a few phone calls tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeletewe are pretty sure our MP ducked the vote and hid somewhere until it was over.
ReplyDeletewow -- VERY interested in seeing a replay of that play at 1B!
ReplyDeleteyeah -- VERY SAFE!
ReplyDeletenot sure lowrie was even in the same zip code as second base on the force, too.
ReplyDeletejeemer up; tie game in peril.
ReplyDeleteSorry, been in and out of the game. And the thread. Too long a day, and hard to stay focused on the game at this point....
ReplyDeletewhat the fuck happened? wmtc'ing it. now.

yup, fuck the libs. talk about a definition of FLIP FLOP, and this complete absence of a spine. the fact that they can just disappear during a vote has bemused and boggled me since i learned about it.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely unacceptable and unaccountable.
i'm sure they'll all be there when they're voting for their next raise.
bah. what are wins worth, anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnyone want to comment on the Burns special tonight? Seeing the Red Sox 2003 series again was painful, but seeing the 2004 series against the Yankees brought back some great memories, particularly in light of the results of this season. IT WAS SO AWESOME. Maybe Allan can write a post about it.
ReplyDeleteThis needs a little Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back Style)...
ReplyDeleteAll you motherfuckers are gonna pay, You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our shit, then shit out our shit, then eat their shit which is made up of our shit that we made 'em eat. Then you're all fucking next.
Love,
Jay and Silent Bob
(except replace Hollywood with Ottawa, Miramax with Liberal and movie with vote)
With this outcome of the season, I wish the Red Sox could have played the Orioles or the Blue Jays or Rangers or, anyone but the Yankees, in the final series of the season.

ReplyDeleteI think you recapped it pretty nicely. ... When we got home, I turned it on and they were showing the 2001 WS. Then I went to the Sox game. Maybe I will tape a re-run.
You know what I sometimes think would be fun? Everyone get his/her 2004 DVDs and we can somehow start a game at the same time and do a thread!
