The Red Sox have signed left-handed reliever Dennys Reyes to a minor league contract. The well-traveled Reyes has played for 10 teams in 14 seasons (none in the AL East, though) and will turn 34 in April.
Alex Speier remembers when the Red Sox made a 4/52 offer to free agent Andy Pettitte after the 2003 season. Pettitte did leave the Yankees that winter, signing with the Astros. ... Meanwhile:
Vladimir Guerrero signed a one-year deal with Baltimore.
