Did they mean the 9th best SS "in the game today" against the Cardinals?

Uh no - they meant the best in the game of baseball for the 2011 season.

Jeter was number 3 I think, if you have MLB network on demand you can watch all the positions along with the 30 in 30 for the teams.

  5. Jeter was number 3 I think

The 3rd best SS in MLB today? God DAMN they must have some good drugs over there. So they had Jetes -- coming off the worst season of his career -- 3rd after Hanley and Tulowitzki? Or maybe even better than one of those guys?

Most MFY fans will now admit Jeter can't field very well. So let's go to the basic hitting stats (and how their OPS ranked among qualifying SS last year):

    A: .275/.333/.388 - .721 OPS (8th)
    B: .270/.340/.370 - .710 OPS (9th)

Which one is MLB's #3 SS?

    Which one is #9?
