AL East Watch: The Yankees (83-63) and Orioles (84-64) are tied for first place. New York plays a day-night doubleheader against the Blue Jays (1 PM & 7 PM), while Baltimore (who beat the Mariners in 18 innings last night) play in Seattle at 10 PM.
So, as Jere pointed out on the boards last night, a win for the O's in Seattle coupled with a sweep of the MFY at the hands of the Jays would put Baltimore on top of the East by 1.5 games.
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to see the headlines tomorrow if this comes to be.
Now the dilemna becomes: do I root for the Sox to get their asses handed to them this weekend at Fenway?
I don't want the Red Sox to lose so bad they have their asses in their hands, but I do want the Orioles to keep winning. So if we're on the wrong end on a few 5-3 scores, I won't mind.
ReplyDeleteWhatever path leads to MFY heartache, I say take it! :)
ReplyDeleteI think having your asses handed to you and having your ass in your hand are two completely different things..:)
