Everyone Loves A Contest: #11

There will be no winner in the W-L contest this season. Obviously.

So here is a quickie contest for the same prize: a copy of Fenway Park: A Salute to the Coolest, Cruelest, Longest-Running Major League Baseball Stadium in America, by John Powers and Ron Driscoll.

Q: Who will be the final Red Sox batter of the season?

Tiebreaker #1: Who will score the final run?
Tiebreaker #2: Who will get the final hit?

As usual, you must email your three answers to me.

Deadline: The end of the season's penultimate game.

  1. Hey, what if 2 people tie for the last batter, but no one gets the last run? ... I guess I'll flip a coin or something.

  2. What if the Red Sox don't score another run this season?

  3. Hardee-har-har.

Then it's whoever scored their last run on Sunday.

  4. What if a batter is up and another guy gets picked off to end the game?

  5. Since the guy batting has been announced as batting, he would be the the final batter. Despite not having an AB or PA. (Manager's decision.)

  6. And if no one gets the main question correct, T1 will become the main question, with T2 acting as the tiebreaker.

  7. Then it's whoever scored their last run on Sunday.

    Which was Nava!

  8. Why is there no winner? Why isn't the entry with the lowest win total the winner?

  9. Wins have always had to be exact.

  10. Why don't you just flip the original entries, thus making it a L-W contest? :)
