Love to see the magic number come out!
ReplyDeleteMagic numbers already? :-)
ReplyDeleteAllan sometimes starts magic numbers in triple digits! Though not necessarily in public. :)
ReplyDeleteOpening Day, it's 163!
ReplyDeleteBut I probably should wait until September.
Magic numbers terrify me! Didn't Carlton Fisk say one dreadful September that they were the first team to ever be mathematically eliminated while still in first place?
ReplyDeleteStill, this team has always surprised and not many of the surprises have been bad ones.
We might have a better idea where we stand after we play the Rays on Sept 10-11-12 (but probably not). I would not be surprised to see this go down to the final weekend. Gotta win the division, because the one-game playoff to win the wild card is too scary.
