ReplyDeleteIt's irresponsible and incompetent at this point for them to keep trotting Taz out there. The name "Scott Proctor" keeps coming up, but even that's not an apt comparison. It's my understanding that the only reason Torre used that dude so much was because they were in tight situations in vital games.
ReplyDeleteLovullo has no such excuse. He's putting Taz on the mound, the most over-used bullpen arm over the last few years, over and over again, for no apparent reason at all. Some reporter needs to friggin' ask him about this. And if he says some B.S. about how the Sox still have a chance and that these wins matter, then I hope he never gets a permanent managing gig.
Yep before this stretch Taz likely had huge (or at least decent) trade value in the offseason.
