Jays Down 0-3, Comeback Has Got To Be Impossible

Thirty-four teams have been down 0-3 in a best-of-seven postseason series.

Thirty-three teams eventually lost the series.

Only one team has won Games 4, 5 and 6, forcing a do-or-die Game 7. And that team won Game 7!

With Cleveland taking advantage of every single mistake (big and small) the Blue Jays have made and Playoff Tito firing on all cylinders, with his players doing everything right, this series is over for Toronto.

Last night's ALCS 3 was the first postseason game in MLB history in which a team won with no pitcher recording more than 5 outs.

Andrew Miller has 20 strikeouts in nine innings this postseason. No other pitcher in major-league history produced at least 20 strikeouts within the first 27 outs he recorded during one postseason. The previous high was 17 strikeouts, done three times (Bob Gibson in the 1968 postseason, Kevin Brown in 1998, and Jacob deGrom in 2015).

On this date 12 years ago, David Ortiz won two postseason games for the Red Sox. In the early morning hours, his home run in the 12th inning won ALCS 4 and later that same day his 14th-inning single won Game 5.

Never say over! CLE fucked up a couple times tonight and got scrubs starting next couple games...if Jays offense could get hot, I think they can do it.
