After sitting in a cramped, overheated plane for 12+ hours, I was back home in good old Mississauga, Ontario, at eight o'clock this morning. I did not see any Red Sox news while I was away, so I'm wondering what has been going on in camp: good news, bad news, questions raised, answers provided?
Note: Making your way, at 1:00 AM, through the many poorly-designed, chaotic security checkpoints at the Cairo, Egypt, airport - absolutely drenched in sweat - is decidedly not a good way to begin a journey of any kind. Despite this (and some other less-than-perfect events (which any worthwhile vacation will have a few of)), the entire trip was absolutely amazing and awesome (in the true sense of the word) and one of the best vacations we have ever taken. I can't wait to go through our photos.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time. I remember being in high school and pulling out the poster of the pyramids that was included in Dark Side of the Moon....someday.

Startling news from Red Sox: David Price has elbow soreness. MRI results not in yet but Farrell concerned, expects Price to see Dr Andrews.
SoSH.
Sox ST has been quiet other than Price's elbow, thankfully not as bad as it seemed. Panda has hit some. Henry Owens has been shelled (as was Thorton in his first outing). ERod: so far, so good.
ReplyDeleteMLB: FAs without jobs have trickled off into unremarkable contracts. Automatic IBBs are on the way. Players' Union is pissed that rule changes are coming over their heads and promise it's going to be a labor issue when the next contract comes around (player quotes about rule changes have been downright reactionary.)
