Jon Lester In Camp

Jon Lester arrived in Fort Myers on Wednesday.
I'm going to take it slow for a couple of weeks as I transition from the cooler weather up at home [Seattle] but after that I should be ready to go. I'm aiming for as soon as possible.
Other early arrivals in camp are pitchers Kason Gabbard and Chris Smith, 1B Ian Bladergroen, 2B Jeff Natalie and SS Jed Lowrie.

Here is some spring training info: Pitchers and catchers will report on February 16. Position players are due on February 20. The first full-squad workout is February 22.

Boston's first Grapefruit game is against the Twins on February 28. Opening Day is April 2 in Kansas City and the Fenway opener is the 7th game of the season, April 10 against Seattle.

  1. Hello,

I was wondering if you would give our school a link from your website until March 17th.

We are having a raffle for a 2004 world series autographed bat that a local car dealership donated to us.

The website we have created is www.redsoxbat.com

    Our school is www.villaaugustina.org

We are raising money for our school and a local group that helps children at risk.

Please let me know if you can help us out with a link or a mention on your website.

We are nonprofit and working really hard to get this off the ground.

    Thank you so much!

  4. Wow, a 2004 team-signed bat with Mike Lowell on it. I wonder if they meant to write Derek Lowe. Also, no Timlin or Leskanic, but Tito and Williamson are on there, accounting for the 25 signatures. Still would be nice to win. I don't like how 9 names are spelled wrong on the certificate of authenticity, if you include Lowe/Lowell, though. Also, the school is a Jesus school, but the "group," Crispin's House, seems to just help kids to not take drugs and stuff.

  9. I view the site often, and you do very good work.

I was wondering if you'd be willing to link my site to yours. My site I think, or at least hope, it stacks up with the rest of the Sox sites in the Nation. It'd be greatly appreciated.

  10. Redsock, maybe think about doing a new post before people start pushing their manuscripts. I think that Dice-K ad must've been contageous.

9casey, I'm still trying to figure out if you were being sarcastic asking how many tickets I bought. If you were, it doesn't make sense since I was kind of making fun of the bat. If you weren't, why did you specifically ask ME how many I bought? I'm confused.
