The Visa:
"Well, birthdays are merely symbolic of how another year's gone by and how little we've grown. No matter how desperate we are that someday a better self will emerge, each flicker of the candles on the cake we know it's not to be. That for the rest of our sad, wretched, pathetic lives, this is who we are to the bitter end. Inevitably, irrevocably. Happy birthday? No such thing."

  3. Happy Birthday honey.

The Red Sox haven't been very kind to you on your birthday so far, but that streak ends tonight.

  4. I posted birthday greetings elsewhere, but just in case you missed it, happy birthday! My mother's birthday was yesterday, my aunt's the day before, and a good friend's was the 13th. So mid-October seems to be a good time to be born!

For your birthday, I am sure Wakefield will pitch a great game.

  5. Hey, this is my sister's birthday too!

Hope your birthday is happy for the same reason I hope my plain-old-regular-day is happy.

  6. Happy Birthday, Allan!

May you be bestowed with baseballs off of the bat of every Red Sock tonight - which are hit so hard that they fly over Lake Erie and descend into your backyard!

  7. It's my birthday tomorrow.

Looks like neither of us are getting what we wanted.

Where did you get that quote, by the way? It's awesome.

  8. Happy Birthday Allan.

Too bad it didn't work out well for our team, but hey. Life goes on.

    Excellent 'feld quote.
