  1. GO BC!!!! (sorry :-p)

And go Masterson in the nightcap. :)

I wish there was some way to watch the BC game.

  2. BTW, keep an eye out for OF Sam Shaughnessy, the son of Shank. He's one of BC's most promising young players. He hit 3 home runs in one game on Saturday against Georgia Southern.

  3. How's this for a nickname for Bartolo Colon...

    Fat Manny.

I've always thought Colon looked a lot like Manny, except for his ability to eat entire towns.

  4. Wouldn't it be funny if CHB's kid made the majors and a sportswriter decided to target him and mock and insult and deride him for years and years like CHB has made a career of doing?

  5. I must say from my limited experiences with him, Baby Shank is a nice kid. I was inclined to dislike him due to his father, but it's not his fault.

That said, I doubt he has much of a chance of making the majors.

    0-0 in the 2nd.

  6. No, it's not his fault. I wonder if he realizes what a complete asshole his father is at work.

  7. I write on occasion for BC's student newspaper, and I had a chance to cover a football game against Army. At the time BC was rising up into the top 10, so there were lots of big time media types there, including Shaughnessy. I introduced myself to the various media people and he was the only one who pretty much refused to acknowledge me. He is just as pompous in real life as he comes across in his columns.

No. It would only be funny if someone did it to CHB. Let's not hold people's asshole fathers against them, eh? (says she of asshole father)
