ReplyDeleteEver since SI picked Cleveland as the best team in baseball before the 1987 season (the Indians finished with the worst record of all the teams that year), I have ignored its baseball picks, which are usually and transoparently calculated to get attention by bucking conventional wisdom. If the Yankees even make the play-offs, it will only be because the Tigers don't.

ReplyDeleteIt might be the end of the line for Trot Nixon. A couple of weeks ago he was slated to make the Diamondbacks' big league roster. Now the D-Backs intend to go with prospect Alex Romero as the fifth outfielder while starter Chad Tracy is injured.

Although, the Sox pretty much had the most hype last season thanks to Dice-K. We also had a deep team too, so we won on both fronts.
We're totally slacking in the style points this offseason. Standing pact is so out.
