  1. I had no idea about this until I received an email this evening. The winners are going to be announced at South by Southwest in Austin in mid-March!

  3. Has anyone received a validation email? I voted last night, but nothing has come in.

And I see "phil" is no more!

  4. Done (I even felt honest, since I've actually read all the others!).

Captcha: boiler Paquin, which I think came after someone watched True Blood.

  6. It seems like not putting a space between the words = verification email. Maybe putting a space in last night was my problem.....

  7. Awesome!

It just sucks that they hold this during the offseason. Otherwise we'd be able to organize a much stronger storm-the-gates type of charge.

I'd also like to urge people to vote for fivethirtyeight in the categories it is up for. First, it's ran by a baseball prospectus founder, so it's got a good pedigree. Second, it takes a pretty smart and unique look on the horse race side of politics. It's pretty neat.

I got the verification email immediately.

  8. Used my school email and didn't get anything. Figured it was the spam filter or something so I resubmitted using my gmail addy and worked great.

  13. Dammit I didn't leave a space because I read this first then I remembered wrong. I will go back and correct this oversight immediately. BTW what a horrible page layout. I felt like I was scrolling right for an hour.

  14. Truck Day is Babe's birthday! Surely a curse is either broken or put in place!

(I only know that because my mom has the same B-day as Babe. And Ronald Reagan. Jidge and Dutch.)

  15. I think if you don't get an validation email, you haven't voted.

No space with word validation, ever.

  17. "No space with word validation, ever."

Ticketmasturbator requires the space between their two words. Fairly new thing.
