What The Red Sox Want

Just so you know.
The Sox want young, enthusiastic, hungry players who run out ground balls, hustle offensively and defensively, and give you a good day's work for the money.

  1. Shouldn't "talented" make it in there somewhere?

  5. You dont make it this level without some talent, this season had a wierd feel from the beginning. There was always some type of elephant in the room. Something that made this team hard to watch. Fans were leaving in the 7th inning, the same thing we made fun of that other teams fans did.

Today Red Sox were giving Bobby V a standing ovation for getting thrown out in a meaningless game in August.

This new direction could be quite fun, it is almost like we are underdogs now, no expectations , no SI covers.

Come April the record competion will have 70 wins guesses.

As sad as it sounds it will be nice to see a team play that no one expect to wins, and maybe something great will happen. Who knows?

i'm not a bobby v fan at all, i think i said here on another comment that he strikes me as a chess player 5 moves behind, but i think now he can manage differently, try to give a new direction to the team.

dice-k becomes a free agent at the end of this season, lackey can be traded or placed on waivers after he starts pitching again... we get rid of those two and we can really start over again.

  8. I don't think Cafardo knows what a "fell swoop" is.
A lot of people don't, but he is a professional writer, after all.
