Schadenfreude 156 (A Continuing Series)

George A. King III, Post:
With muscles as soft as yogurt swinging wet newspapers, the Yankees can't afford to be escorted into an early ditch by a starting pitcher. ...

By the third inning last night the listless lineup was toast thanks to a five-run Red Sox rally highlighted by Mike Napoli's grand slam off Hughes that lowered the Yankees, who have dropped six of seven, into a deep grave.
Filip Bondy, Daily News:
[L]iving and dying with Hughes on the mound has become a lot like doing the same with A.J. Burnett, a huge-contract guy, when he was in the Bronx. Hughes shows some very good stuff, decent heat. Pick an inning out of the hat, however, and that will be the one in which he'll implode and take the Yankees right out it.
