G39: Red Sox 5, Cardinals 4 (13)

Red Sox - 000 000 220 000 1 - 5 11 0
Cardinals - 130 000 000 000 0 - 4 12 2
Damn sorry I missed this one.

After rallying to tie the game in the late innings, the Red Sox got a 13th-inning rally going after there were two outs. Mitch Moreland hit a ground rule double to left. Jackie Bradley, who had got the Red Sox on the board with a two-run homer in the seventh, was intentionally walked. Chris Young batted for the pitcher and singled to center, scoring Moreland.

After Rick Porcello (6-9-4-3-6, 87) left, the Red Sox used eight relievers. Fernando Abad pitched the eleventh and twelfth innings, allowing one walk and facing only six batters. Ben Taylor issued a two-out walk in the thirteenth, but held on for the save.

It was the first game in Red Sox history that the team had eight different relievers appear in a game and allow no runs.
