In Other News . . .

We bought a house . . . the purchase was finalized last Friday . . . and we are now living in it!

We are, quite honestly, stunned at our good fortune. The dogs have been enjoying the back yard for most of the last two days, as we moved our stuff in. It's been exhausting, but seeing Cookie and Kai wrestling on the grass for hours and, later in the evening, completely zonked out, sleeping so peacefully on their beds, is wonderful.

  1. I was checking out your post yesterday; it looks like a great house! I'm sure the dogs will enjoy that nice backyard.

  3. My guys have an identical red ball and an identical fuzzy dumbbell--the vet disapproves because of tooth wear, but she doesn't know that the mental health engendered by wrassling for those fuzzy balls, especially the squeaky ones, is far more important than mere dental health.

You want pathos plus tooth wear: in Iceland where sticks are a national treasure and fist-sized stones are as plentiful as molecules in the sea, farm dogs will come up and drop their stone at your feet, begging you to pick it up and throw it. I always bring a tennis ball for my hosts' dogs....
