  1. We already did Hail to thee cyber-trough of Apple Jacks last night during the seventh inning stretch...not sure what you're lookin for today.

  2. Just more musings on 'on-the-job- training' at the big league level. Who's more likely to actually cost you a ball game (and I don't mean by what somebody did or didn't do in the on-deck circle): Somebody you try to hide in the outfield and at the bottom of the order until they improve, or a starter that you run out there every 5th day to see what the minimum damage his 100 pitches will do until he improves? I dunno for sure, but I guess Theo does.

  4. Did anyone else think, "Hey, now they can pick him up" when they heard that Wells was DFAed?

  5. "they" meaning the Yankees, of course.

(Can't tell I'm tired, can you? Sheesh.)

  6. Personally I always like the "let Mikey try it". Not sure that is what you are looking for but it is the best I got right now!

  7. If Crisp were elected president and put large companies' welfare far head of the populace's -- would they refer to his administration as CocoCo?

  8. I don't really get the ortiz quote in the site tag. I've never heard of "apple sox" or....

now, suddenly it hit me. "sox" "sauce". I've got the wrong accent.

still--kinda an odd thing to say.

  9. Z/S wins the prize so far, IMO. CocoCo! Cool.

The citizen of Joy Nation who likes to write about breakfast cereal seems not to have weighed in.

  10. Mattymatty, in case you're reading, thank you. You did not drive me out of the game thread. I'm just a more even-keel, cool-tempered kind of fan. The teeth-gnashing and hand-wringing (while we're playing .600 ball) is just not for me. Each to her/his own.

  11. Wow, D-Rays doing a number on Detroit this afternoon.

15-1 in the 8th. Bonderman gave up 20! yes, 20! hits.

    TB: 15 runs, 24 hits
    DET: 1 run, 11 hits

Apparently Yahoo Sports has gone a little haywire, as they have "J Wilson" driving in all 7 runs in the 7th for Tampa. Oh, and he also drove in their runs in the sixth and Detroit's run in the seventh as well. That J. Wilson can sure plaY!

  12. Apparently yahoo sports is majorly screwed up, because on MLB.com its only 8-1 for TB. I was scared there for a minute.

  13. Maybe we can work out a trade deal for Wilson. WMP, Timlin, ?

  16. I like mostly grain cereals: Rice Chex, Corn Flakes, Cheerios (no sugar added besides what's in the box--whereas my fiancee loves to pile sugar on there), but I do absolutely love one sugary cereal, and that is Honeycomb.
