I actually watched *gasp*... FOOTBALL today. It's been that slow of a day. I'm not sure what I would have done if there wasn't any baseball to look forward to.
obviously the snakes can win, but they must feel like they are being run over by a steamroller. after blowing several chances to win and losing in 11 the other night and jus the fact of the rockies winning every game in sight for the last almost month ...
And then they're not getting any breaks tonight. Two double plays, one on a hot shot up the middle that found a home in Fogg's glove.
Some people feel that if the Rockies lose a game, they might not win again. I'm not sure how I feel about that. 19 out of 20 is a hell of a run. That means they've had to bounce back from a loss only once in almost a month.
Obviously something like 2004 is not out of the realm of possibility, but I think we now know who our World Series opponent would be.
The fundamental difference here is being assholes. The Rockies are hardly the assholes the Yankees are, therefore the Rockies will prevail as non-assholes should!
Here's hoping the Diamondbacks lose game 4 too. If the Red Sox survive the Spiders, the midges, and Trot, it can't hurt if the team they face in the WS has met no resistance in the playoffs and has been cooling their heels for many days, a la last year's Rockies, the Tigers.

Do you think Arizona has a chance in this game?
ReplyDeleteI want Arizona to win tonight because I still want this game to go seven games.
ReplyDeleteHow about that pirouette by Tulowitzki?
ReplyDeletehell of a turn.

I've seen that and I do not understand it at all. Why would they lose every game?
LMAO. Well, there are worse things in baseball than picking your nose.
ReplyDeleteTHREE double plays in THREE innings.
ReplyDeleteNot a good start for the snakes.
I like watching the replays and seeing the rain falling slooooowly.
ReplyDeleteooooh, yorvit dong makes it 4-1 rockies in the bottom of the 6th.
ReplyDeletedbacks dangerously close to being down 0-3. we all know how tough it is to come back from that.
ReplyDeleteor not ;)
Time is running out on the Diamondbacks.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, could Colorado start this sumbitch off 7-0?
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteThe Diamondbacks are COOKED.
Obviously something like 2004 is not out of the realm of possibility, but I think we now know who our World Series opponent would be.
Now we just have to take care of business in Cleveland, starting tomorrow night with the $100 million man.

ReplyDelete20 out of their last 21!
If anyone can do it, they can.
I think Colorado could beat Cleveland in the World Series, but boy, it'll be an interesting one against the Red Sox.
And TBS is already putting up the "only team to ever come back from 0-3" graphic"!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!
F the CHOKERS!
...
I don't think there will another baseball game played in Arizona this season.
Do the D-Backs bring back Brandon Webb to pitch tomorrow? Or do they go with Micah Owings?
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I say I do want Arizona to win tomorrow... and then Colorado can finish them off on Wednesday night.
ReplyDeleteThis is essentially because Wednesday is an off-night for the ALCS and I'd like there to be an NLCS game.
So, pull for the D-Backs tomorrow, then we can go ahead and root for the Rox on Wednesday.
Micah Owings will pitch tomorrow night for the Snakes.

ReplyDeleteOnly 8.5 hours until the game!
ReplyDeleteIs this the Springsteen concert game? (i.e. threading @ threadsox?)
ReplyDeleteIf so, I can return the favor with the text'ing redsock, or are you guys gonna just watch it in the AM tomorrow?
Can you imagine the WS in Denver later this month? They are going to have to shovel the snow from the basepaths.
