Inexcusable: Young pitcher on mound, first guy hits a ball to you, you throw him out at first. Especially after you whiffed to start the game when your manager inexplicably batted you leadoff.
Crap! The Timmy Benson DP. (When I was nine in Little League, I ended a game in the field for us by catching a liner at first and stepping on the bag to double up old neighbor Timmy Benson.)
2-2, Kim claims Buch looks like THeo a bit, now 3-2 as HH squeezed, Kim points out Geddy Lee not visible behind plate, Stairs up by the way, swung on and missed, DO says "by way of the K," A and L drink
what about the voice of geddy lee how did it get so high? i wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy? (i know him and he does!) well, you're my fact-checkin' cuz
- There should be a congressional mandate that Subway not get rid of their $5 footlong subs promotion.
- The wheels are getting wobbily on this one for the Red Sox. I've noticed way back to last year - even with his no-hitter, that Buchholz is not very consistent with the location with his pitches. If you ask me, I almost wish he didn't throw the no-hitter, so there wouldn't be any huge immediate expectation upon him. Just let him continue to develop, especially with location.
- I heard that Joe Girardi is not in the dugout with the Yankees because he has an upper respiratory infection.
- Yesterday in Boston I noticed most of the trees were budding. Some of them had the tiniest beginnings of bright green leaves. Not a moment too soon.
- J.D. Drew is on fire! It's fantastic to see.
- I think after this game, Varitek could catch Wake's knuckler, with how much he's had to dance around and catch balls in the dirt all over the place.
Sheez. After a soild week of things going on till all hours I finally get home in time to catch at least the last half of a game, and then I pull up GDGD and find I have to download a new version of Adobe first! Thankfully I have JoS to keep me posted while my antiquated computer spends the next 2 days trying to load this program. And I thought this Commodore thing was the stuff - hrmph!
And Bryan Corey joins the fray with a strong argument for HIS imminent dumping! Let's see... Aardsma comes in to a tie game yesterday to walk his only batter, then Lopez gives up the hit to HIS only batter---boy, it's true, what an embarrassment of riches the Sox have in that bull pen...
I recently wrote that the only weakness I saw on this year's squad was middle relief. But I sure as hell didn't think it was THIS bad. Oh well, so we're doomed. We know these guys will never get better, and we'll lose every single game in the 6th and 7th innings. There's always next year, right?
I hope to tune in this afternoon.

yeah I looked at gameday once this year, it was a blank white screen, and I thought, oh well, I'll find somewhere else, screw 'em.
ReplyDeleteCasey, if you're gonna pull a Knoblauch and argue a play instead of running, at least be right.
I see Snyder is determined to make a last-ditch run for the waiver wires.
ReplyDeleteChrist, Kyle, I'm always standing up for you...DELIVER!
OK, so what's the deal with MLB.tv
ReplyDeleteHow much and is it worth it?
Also - this audio button? Dare I try it?
What was that Casey play? I had to take a phone call which precluded me from seeing what the hell happened.
ReplyDeleteNice bunt....for them.
Hey! It worked. I have GDGD - for what that's worth.
ReplyDeleteAnd I DON"T like what I see on it.
2 straight walks by Snyder?
2nd & 3rd and Eckenstein up?

ReplyDeleteIt's all jet lag, you know. JET LAG!!!
Where's Mike Mussina when you need him?

ReplyDeleteNESN is saying the Snyder has been informed that he will be designated for assignment tomorrow to make room for Captain kick ass.
ReplyDeleteSure glad I missed that game. It was bad enough hearing part of it in the car on the way home from school.
ReplyDeleteHope today's is better. We are off to NY. Enjoy the game.
