The Red Sox immediately torched three relievers for five runs, closed the gap to one run again in the seventh, and, after wasting a prime scoring opportunity in the eighth, won the game when Adrian Gonzalez drove a two-run double off the Wall with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
Deep down in Florida, the Rays beat the Yankees 6-5, so Boston (21-20) is now in a three-team tie for second place with Toronto (21-20) and New York (20-19).

We've definitely proven several times now that some people watching NESN can see pitches that others miss due to commercials. So it has to do with the individual providers. I'm guessing they each have their own automated systems, which often fuck up.
I've had local ads "accidentally" pop up during the action, and once they start, you know they're gonna run their course and that you ARE missing pitches. A horrible feeling.
But ultimately NESN should be held responsible--they should make all the providers they work with get it right, it shouldn't be up to us to tell them all how to do their jobs.
I'don't know about the Paw Sox Rotation but Bowden or Doubrount could also be called up to start tomorrow.

Bowden is now a reliever - all 14 of his appearances have been out of the pen.
Rich Hill could get the start if they don't want to go with Wake.
That may have been an HR if he dosn't catch that.
Hill's pitch counts this year have been 16, 18, 15 and 20. He's not a starter either.
He used to be a starter I'd be surprised if he still can't.
He lasted started in 2009. Granted, he'd still probably do better than Lackey, but I'll get the start tomorrow before Hill does.
Not everything can be fixed by "get rid of him".

with the way the sox have come back in so many games in recent years, down by five runs with five innings to go does not = a loss.
