Also amazing is Ted doing it 16 seasons apart.

Babe Ruth spent a few seasons as we know with less than 100 AB's.

Williams of course spent a few of his best years serving his country.

Eliminate those 2 facts and that pair of players would own the MLB record books for hitting for eternity.....

Apropos of Babe Ruth, it sounds like some photos of his days in Providence in 1914 were destroyed in a house fire yesterday.
