Porcello has thrown at least 6.0 innings in 10 consecutive starts.

Elias also notes that Pedroia's 46-game on-base streak against AL East teams is the 2nd-longest ever by a Red Sox player, trailing only Wade Boggs, who reached in 61 consecutive AL East games from September 15, 1984 to August 27, 1985.

Red Sox starting pitchers rank last in the majors in ERA (6.51, 34 ER/47 IP) but have also posted MLB's best strikeout rate among starting staffs (10.9 K/9IP, 57 K).

Last night, David Ortiz stole 2B in the 7th inning. According to Elias, Big Papi became only the 4th Red Sox player age 40 or older to steal a base, joining Cy Young (3 times as a 40-year old), Ted Williams (once), and Rickey Henderson (7 times).

BRef says Rickey did it 8 times, not 7.

Cy Young - 3 times in 1907, age 40
Ted Williams - 1 time, July 22, 1960 vs Cleveland, age 41
Rickey Henderson - 8 times in 2002, age 43
David Ortiz - 1 time, April 15, 2016 vs Toronto, age 40

MFY lose their 4th straight, 3-2 to Seattle. They had the potential tying run at third and winning run at second when the game ended.

MLB: "The Yankees went 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position [on Saturday] and have managed just three hits in their last 46 such at-bats (.065)."

NYDN: "For the second straight game, the Yanks were hitless with RISP, going 0-for-12 Saturday. That means they are 3-for-46 (.065) over their past five games in such situations and 0-for-24 over the past two. Even Alex Rodriguez's return to the lineup didn't help - he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts to run his overall hitless streak to 19 at-bats and heard some boos after whiffing in the ninth."
