Here are the entries for the 2023 W-L contest. The picks:
1. 2023 W-L Record
2. Tiebreaker: Time of Boston's Quickest Nine-Inning Game
3. Tiebreakest: Masataka Yoshida's On-Base Percentage
W-L Time OBPNote: I hope no one feels the choose-your-own-prize-(within-a-price-limit) idea is lame. I looked at some baseball books coming out this spring (including one by Joe Kelly; a sample I read was okay, but). Nothing really grabbed my attention.

In 2023, The Red Sox could be anywhere between say 60-90 wins ? We could be awful, we could somehow, against the odds, sneak into the Playoffs !
Guessing the realistic number of say 75-78 isn't really much Fun is it ......... better to be optimistic !
Cheers

Wow, only two people predicted 90-plus wins?
ReplyDeleteAny prize works for me... even bragging rights...
Should have checked my entry before e-mailing, mistyped the time so that is me done lol
ReplyDeleteActual reason for replying is to say from my point of view I don't think the prize is at all lame. When we can win a book you are recommending that is great but if nothing has really "grabbed" you of late then better to leave it open for people to choose.
Running any comp, particularly with a actual prize that is costing you money is always appreciated, particularly when times are so hard for so many people these days.
2:19 is a typo? What should it be?
