Tony M. of the Herald and Butch Stearns of Fox are on the big show with Glenn Ordway. Their fix for this teams offensive woes - trade minor leaguers for Dye, sit Drew and make him the 4th outfielder for the rest of the team.
Oh, yea, they want to trade Moss and Murphy, maybe Lester or Gabbard.
Dye-.230-.284-.446 with 16HR and 4 rbi more than Lugo. Plus, I think he was hurt for awhile. But once out of that pressure-cooker in Chi and into a more relaxed Fenway atmosphere, I'm sure he'd turn it around. Plus everybody needs to carry a 4th OFer making 14 mil. Maz still gets paid for this, right?

I was gonna put on EEI before, but I forgot. Glad I forgot now. Pretty steady rain now, but light. I'd play in this, but I'd play in a hurricane. They do have three rain-free days in a row to do a doubleheader if necessary.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to believe in him, but conventional wisdom has a strong case. He needs to play every day and can't go to the minors, so trade him to some small market team and let him play every day. If he turns into an Ortiz, so be it.

ReplyDeleteI was at the game tonight. Ridiculously frustrating. This is one of the worst Ls of the year. It's not the ump's fault, but it really made it worse that the 2-run single came right after DiceK should have had strike 3.

Still, it mighta helped to score a run or three.
