Clearly, none of these so-called "baseball experts" rememebered that Hinske now plays for the Orioles. As such, the O's win the Wild Card and go to the World Series.
Sorry, Skankees, looks like you're on the outside lookin' in again.
Scratch that. O's win the East, Sox in the Wild Card.
I haven't had my coffee yet this morning...
I would prefer to see the Red Sox just score runs and not have those colossal dry periods that make them look like a national league team.
Actually was considering the Orioles over the Rays this year. Just don't think they're gonna have enough pitching this year. Next year may be another issue.

Sporting news' prediction would be really interesting if it was from last year. Looks really dumb right now.
So Lincecum is coming to the AL? For whom?

Fixed (wiseass).
Maybe we can deal Bowden for him.

Not hopeful this year, but then again, I had us for 87 wins last season so I'm not setting up the Optimism Club just yet! However, I do worry about our barren spells with the bat, and losing one of our better hitters without a similar sort of replacement is concerning. That said, the Yankees appear to have regressed a little too - surely Pettitte can't be that reliable third starter again?
I do know that I get to see the Red Sox in person for the first time this season. June 6.....
"Clearly, none of these so-called "baseball experts" rememebered that Hinske now plays for the Orioles."
Hinske's on the Braves. So Red Sox over Braves in the WS.

Not hopeful this year,
Wow, really . I believe we have our best rotaion 1-5 in quite some time. We have the best defense we have had in many years. What scares you no Bay? I am really stating to like the team we have on paper right now, alot....
I agree Casey, except on offense. I know that in theory we should not need as much run production with the improvements in pitching and defense, but I just can't escape the sense that we're going to wish we had one more decent bat.
But, me being me, I'm going with a breakout year for Dice, a Cy Young year for Lester, and a team full of gold gloves to go with that 1st WS ring of the new decade. Hope springs eternal!
Shit, I forgot about Hinske though. Maybe he'll strain a groin
