Herald: Lackey Will Be Skipped In Rotation

Scott Lauber, Herald:
John Lackey will be skipped in rotation. He'll pitch Tuesday in Oakland. Buchholz, Beckett, Lester, Dice-K vs. Jays.
WEEI concurs.

Keep everyone on their normal schedule (already one day longer than usual because of Thursday's off-day) and avoid the guy with the 15.58 ERA, who has allowed an average of 2.5 baserunners per inning in his two starts? It's a win-win!

Lackey's start in Oakland is the first game of a nine-game road trip that includes visits to the Angels and Orioles.

Hooray! I'm taking my son to his first game on Monday. Very happy that it'll be a Lester start. :)

Win-win? What a strange concept. A win, and then another win. Mmmmmm, I seem to recall this has actually happened at some point in the past.......

That's good news, but with him and Dice-K, I'm not sure you'd rather skip both.

Pedroia may be better suited to pitch right now.

I've never been happier for a rainout!
