The Red Sox hit four home runs and Joe Kelly (6-5-1-3-3, 100) allowed no earned runs.

David Ortiz (#26) and Travis Shaw (#6) went back-to-back leading off the second inning and Jackie Bradley (#5) and Ryan Hanigan (#2) went back-to-back in the fourth. Bradley's dong was a three-run shot.

Ortiz now has 492 career home runs (regular season only).

I don't understand why Masterson was released. Obviously he is not the guy the Sox let go in 2009, but he appeared to be working well in that middle relief role. Certainly he had to be better than Breslow? Why is that clown still on the pitching staff?

That Cleveland pitcher called Shaw's 384-foot opposite field home run that cleared a 37-foot wall a "pop-up."
