Elias: "Yoenis Cespedes had a career day at Coors Field - the Mets outfielder went 5-for-6 with three home runs including a grand slam to lead the Mets to victory over the Rockies. Cespedes, who finished his night with seven RBI and five runs scored, is the first player in major-league history to record at least five hits in a game with three home runs including a grand slam."

Elias: "Blake Swihart's hot streak continued on Friday - the rookie catcher went 4-for-4 with two doubles in the Red Sox' 7-2 victory over the Royals. That marked Swihart's second four-hit game in the last seven days - he went 4-for-5 in Boston's drubbing of the Mariners on August 15. The only rookie catcher before Swihart to record multiple four-hit games for the Red Sox in a single season was Johnny Peacock, who had two such games for Boston in the 1938 campaign. Buster Posey was the last rookie catcher to achieve that feat for any team, having recorded two four-hit games for the Giants in 2010."
