Hey, I've been voting for you consistently all the way. Maybe even a few hanging-chads but definitely none that could be misconstrued as a Jeter vote...Good luck. (Tim @ SoxSpot.com)
You can also vote once at home and once at work.
Just to let you know, Love of Sox is officially closed.
OK, I voted numerous times (saw the other sites, and even with team bias put aside, you deserve to win), so now let me say this about the Manny trade, which some sources see as imminent. One way or the other, Manny's fate was probably sealed with his generous absences from the line-up in September with the wild-card in play and the team reeling. Would he have made that much of a difference? No: the Sox weren't going anywhere with their wounded pitching. But if, as Dan S. and others (including my own inside source)seem to believe, Manny's team mates and key members of the brass think he quit on the team and lost interest once the Yankees had pulled in front, he has to be traded. And if, as this blog's participants seem to believe, he was genuinely hurt, it makes sense to trade him now anyway. He's old enough that he could be breaking down. Mystery ailments are often age-related and become chronic. The Sox can't play two DHs, and if there's a good chance that he has chronic knee problems, better trade him now than later.Let's just hope someone is hitting Wily Mo a LOT of fungoes out in left as I write this.
