Nonsense

Does anyone actually believe this?

Scott Lauber, Herald:
Andino's season-ending, two-out single ... reverberated every bit as much as Dent's homer for the Yankees in Game 163 in 1978 and Boone's decisive blast in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

Sure, after 2004 and 2007, not making the playoffs was as drastic as two heartbreak losses to the most hated rival after 80+ years of frustration.

Hyperbole much?

Another jackass who thinks he speaks for all Sox fans. I consider sportswriters to be on the same level as politicians and lawyers in terms of the trust level.

And that is how national writers think they know what Sox fans are thinking. They read crap like this or they quote CHB. Seriously.

I'm laughing at them.

Oh, I totally agree. Missing the chance to play a game for a chance to make the playoffs is exactly the same as losing a chance to play in the World Series and send the Yankees packing. Oh, wait. It's not the same at all.

Pretty sure Dents HR didn't win the game.

There are some... namely sportswriters who cannot let the past go.

Yeah, it sucked so bad that the same people who witnessed last year's season-ending loss are back to follow the Sox again this season.

I don't care much about Boone either. (He's not quite Andino, but he ain't no Dent.) There is only one villian from the 2003 ALCS - and his FUCKIN' nickname is so big it can be seen from space.
