Amalie Benjamin, Globe:
According to a baseball source, the report by Nikkan Sports that the Sox have a three-year, $21 million offer out to Japanese pitcher Kenshin Kawakami is not accurate. The Sox apparently have not made an offer to Kawakami.***
Globe:
Nikkan Sports, one of Tokyo's biggest daily sports/entertainment newspapers, is reporting that Red Sox have offered [33-year-old righthander] Kenshin Kawakami a 3-year, $21-million deal. ...The Globe's Adam Kilgore says Kawakawi "projects as a middle- or back-of-the-rotation starter" and the Herald's Michael Silverman thinks he might battle Justin Masterson and Clay Buchholz for the 5th rotation spot. ... SoSH thread on Kawakami here.
Kawakami has a 112-72 career record with a 3.22 ERA in 11 years as a member of Chunichi Dragons. He won the Rookie of the Year in 1998 and the Central League MVP in 2004. ... His best pitch is a cut-fastball.

So how long until Harper emerges from the GG's office to announce the Canadian Blog Awards winners? The suspense is killing me.
Killing you? Think of how Redsock feels.
I have hit F5 on the CBA's main page many times today. Many.
And still nothing.
I will NOT post anything until I get some results, so please Theo, do not say you've signed Teixeira until I give you the heads up.
